The non-profit organisation, based in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, uses Math, Science and English teaching as a means to generate opportunities for students to pursue post-secondary study.

In March 2011 Axium Education launched "The Ekukhuleni Centre", an innovative after-school programme for Grade 10 – 12 students. Axium also supports a group of rural teachers through a Science Teacher Network based in Mthatha.
